This site’s ammunition plates are identification notes for collectors. They are not loading data and not a licence to fire. Photograph the headstamp, the case metal, and the projectile shape before arguing about a rare lot.
9×19 mm Parabellum
Pistolenpatrone 08. Pistol and machine-pistol cartridge of the P08, P38, and MP 38/40 family. Standard ball about 8 g FMJ. Wartime lots include steel cases. It is not 9 mm Short and not 7.92 Kurz.
7.92×57 mm
The 98-family cartridge: Gewehr 98, Kar 98a, K98k, MG 08 and MG 34/42 in the same calibre family. sS ball, SmK, SmK L’spur, and blank/exercise loads are different objects. A K98k is not a Kurz rifle.
7.92×33 mm Kurz
The intermediate cartridge of the MP 43 / MP 44 / StG 44. Shorter case than 7.92×57. Do not chamber it in a 98. Do not describe a K98k as ‘Kurz’ because the stock is laminated.
